REFLECTION ON THE DAILY GOSPEL 10 SEPTEMBER 2010

God cannot be fooled. Man can be fooled. If you want a life of love and passion, a foundation of love for God will withstand the greatest temptations and trials.

If you hear what God wants, if you know what God wants, you must act. Otherwise we are swept away in a tide of meaningless selfish pleasures in a world of people using each other.

This is the foundation God wants for our lives. Time to start digging deep.

Gospel Lk 6:43-49

REFLECTION ON THE DAILY GOSPEL 9 SEPTEMBER 2011

Jesus informs us we cannot be an example or disciple unless we first clean up our own act.

If someone calls us a hypocrite, we should listen carefully, they may be doing us a favor. Unless we remove the beam from our own eye, we cannot faithfully teach the Word.

And each disciple will become as the teacher.

REFLECTION ON THE DAILY GOSPEL 8 SEPTEMBER 2011

The revelation to Joseph sets in motion the coming of Christ.

The lineage of Mary and the word of prophet speak clearly to the predictions in the Old Testament. Mary becomes the vessel carrying the promise of the New Covenant, Christ the Savior.

The Trinity is also revealed in this scripture, with the role of the Holy Spirit and Jesus exposed.
