Don’t let the beauties of this world of this get in the way of doing the right thing.

King Herod knew what he was doing was the wrong decision, but let his earthly promises and pride override his God fearing ways.

He challenged God indirectly by not submitting to the right decision. God guide me to not be distracted by short term needs and material goals. Direct me to your will and the long term building of your kingdom here on Earth.
