REFLECTION ON THE DAILY GOSPEL 10 DECEMBER 2012

Gospel Lk 5:17-26

For those witnessing these miracles, there must have been a tremendous change of heart. Particularly those who were skeptical of Jesus and His teaching. The miracle of the curing of the paralytic was indeed wondrous, however, the real meaning here is the authority of God. All present knew that only God could make such a thing possible, so their awe was for knowing that God had made this happen. He was amongst them. He is amongst us.

REFLECTION ON THE DAILY GOSPEL 4 JULY 2012

Strange how a whole people can reject the work of God. Sometimes when miracles happen, it scares us. Something we cannot understand. The Gadarenes reacted like a lot of us when we are faced with a mystery, something beautiful happened, perhaps a cure, a change of heart that we cannot fathom. We ask for the light of these moments to shine through to our hearts, rather than shutting the blinds and closing our eyes.

Gospel Mt 8:28-34

REFLECTION ON THE DAILY GOSPEL 3 OCTOBER 2011

We honor God not just be loving him, but by treating our neighbors the way we want to be treated ourselves.

Hate, resentment and indifference are all unacceptable to God, even to those we dislike and hurt us.

We have to have a change of heart.
