Here Jesus tells us that we are given freewill and can either follow his lead and become the wheat, or make our own decisions to go the other way and becomes weeds. It’s a simple decision that each of us can make. “Let them grow together until harvest;”

John the Baptist proclaimed the Word every day. Herod feared what he had done to execute him, but was too prideful to not do the right thing and refuse his daughter her horrible request. Pray that we have the faith and courage to make the right decisions for ourselves today.

Jesus wants us to break rules that are set up to make those that set them up look important, particularly if they mean not doing the right deed in his eyes. Let me take care today to make those decisions well.
