John the Baptist proclaimed the Word every day. Herod feared what he had done to execute him, but was too prideful to not do the right thing and refuse his daughter her horrible request. Pray that we have the faith and courage to make the right decisions for ourselves today.

REFLECTION ON THE DAILY GOSPEL 7 JANUARY 2012
Mary knew that she could ask Jesus for help when it was needed. Her faith in him was complete. I need to have that same faith when he calls me to do the right thing; despite the fact it may appear odd or strange to others.
