REFLECTION ON HOLY SATURDAY VIGIL MASS THE EMPTY TOMB 30 MARCH 2013

empty-tomb

Imagine the delight of Mary and the other women as they raced to tell the news! Then Peter did the same and was also amazed, the unbelievable appeared to have happened. Let us savor this along with all of the meaning this gave to the other scriptures in the Old Testament, Christ was among us, risen, our King, Our Lord. Imagine what happened in your life when you discovered “your empty tomb”, that insight with faith that Jesus was risen, and He was inside you; available at all times; with unlimited, unconditional love for you. He had given everything of His humanity, and now made it clear he loves you divinely.

REFLECTION ON THE DAILY GOSPEL 21 MARCH 2013

GOSPEL OF JOHN

The connection with His chosen people, who appear to be unwilling to listen to His message reflects how many reject His message today. The strong bond of Abraham, our father in faith is articulated by Jesus as she tries to get the Jewish community to understand He is fulfilling the prophesies of the Torah.
Can we pray for the faith for others to understand His sacrifice and gift to us?

REFLECTION ON JESUS COMING TO FULFILL THE LAW: GOSPEL 6 MARCH 2013

jESUSANDTHELAW

Jesus talks in Matthew’s Gospel of fulfilling the Law, not to abolish it. He reminds us of our need to stay within the Law, these being the commandments given to Moses. Sometimes, we believe that good deeds alone or faith alone mitigates the need to obey these commandments. We should not fool ourselves in such a way as to believe this.
