REFLECTION ON THE DAILY GOSPEL 28 NOVEMBER 2011

Daily Gospel narrated by Michael Cunningham

REFLECTION ON THE GOSPEL

The new words of the 3rd Roman Missal echo “Lord, I am not worthy to have you enter under my roof” Some and open the door to the Lord and he will save us, the invitation is there for all with the faith to make the call.

Gospel Mt 8:5-11

REFLECTION ON THE DAILY GOSPEL 14 November 2011

When these people saw the miracle, they could relate to the power of God. However, it is critical to hear his words, that faith has saved you.

Beyond all other things we may do to honor God, we can do nothing without faith and everything is possible with it.

Gospel Lk 18:35-43

REFLECTION ON THE GOSPEL 7 NOVEMBER 2011

Those that sin against us many times are steeped in a culture of anger, retribution and hunger for possessions.

As we have this revealed to us, we have to have faith that God has a different plan for our lives. So no matter what it costs, we should forgive those who are against us. That also does not mean that we should not rebuke them for their behavior.

We are obliged to do both, forgive and rebuke.
