REFLECTION ON THE DAILY GOSPEL 29 OCTOBER 2011

Many say they are humble, but it’s hard to practice it. If we feel we deserve this place in life because we have worked for it and demand respect, we are heading for a fall.

True humility is putting yourself last, every time; not by punishing yourself or damage to your body or soul; but by thinking of your fellow man and genuine compassion in your actions.

It’s not enough just to keep God’s commandments as delivered by Moses. He wants more.

He wants that submissive love not just for him, but for your fellow man.

When you do this for your neighbor, with a clear and open heart you will receive imbibed grace and your life will be changed forever.

REFLECTION ON THE DAILY GOSPEL 3 SEPTEMBER 2011

No law set by man is above that of the Son of Man.

Jesus teaches us when these laws make no sense and worldly authorities put themselves above the needs of their fellow man. These clarifications are not lost on us today, with man made laws on abortion, contraception, marriage all defying His Law.

Our love for him is shown by following his Way, not those that fill their authority with pomp and laws to protect their own position and status.
