Jesus was rejected by those who thought they had authority. Do we feel that we have authority sometimes? Over our destiny? We have freewill but if we reject His word, then should we at least not take notice of His works?
Pray for understanding and reconciliation.
It is not enough simply to feed those closest to you. It is our job to help all others in any way that we can. For Christ is in all of our brothers, just as he is in us. We have the freewill and love of God to do his work, if we do not, He sees it all. Our payment will be everlasting; one way or the other.
With freewill it is easy to take the wide road and squander our time here on earth. But by doing his work and following the path to the narrow gate we can find that road to eternal happiness. We will also find peace in our lives here on earth.
