REFLECTION ON THE DAILY GOSPEL 23 SEPTEMBER 2011

Peter’s response of “The Christ of God” shows how the scriptures will be fulfilled and that Jesus was truly the Christ, being of God. Knowing this was revealed to them, Jesus asks them to not tell others at this time.

There are times when we are also knowing of his love and want to tell others of it, when we must keep it to ourselves so that God’s work in others can be revealed to them personally.

Gospel Lk 9:18-22

REFLECTION ON THE DAILY GOSPEL 22 SEPTEMBER 2011

When we sin and God performs miracles and acts of mercy around those who we punish, we do not understand why this is happening.

God’s unyielding love will pour out even from the worst deeds imaginable. We can be saved as John was.

REFLECTION ON THE DAILY GOSPEL 17 SEPTEMBER 2011

We have the choice of who we want to listen to and direct our lives. God or the devil.

We can pursue this reward by following his voice and ignoring temptation. Temptation may never leave us completely on this earth, but we can pray to God for help when it occurs.

Each triumph enriches the soil in which we are planted.
