Listening to learn more, I pay attention to those,
Who put me in a jacket,
And issue instructions,
For how I should feel, prayer, talk, write, love.
When I all need is to put my heart first to you and leave my head behind.

And my response would be better,
kinder, warmer, more forgiving,
than my first.
But can I ever be as loving as He is to me?
“Can you drink the chalice that I am going to drink?”

Do you hear me Lord?
Can I stay in silence?
Is that your sign of eternal love?
And then you show me, through the face and words of others. You are there.
