Openings … The Buzz of Peace

Waking up and heading down the dark stairway,

I turn no lights on, and rely on the quiet light,

of your heart to guide mine through this day.

With a single, long, beautiful and silent embrace of wonder.

I leave the day at Your feet and joyfully savor my “buzz” of peace; retained today.

“See to it that no one captivate you with an empty, seductive philosophy according to the tradition of men, according to the elemental powers of the world”

Letter to Colossians

Openings … The Thinking Heart

The Latin word mens, means “right thinking” of the mind,

Perhaps the thinking heart is where we rest,

and find wisdom like a geyser,

spraying love around those in our lives.

Let me have a thinking heart today.

“that we may gain wisdom of heart.”

Psalm 90

Openings … Law of the Heart

Listening to learn more, I pay attention to those,

Who put me in a jacket,

And issue instructions,

For how I should feel, prayer, talk, write, love.

When I all need is to put my heart first to you and leave my head behind.

“Hear the parable of the sower.”

Gospel of Matthew
