Openings … Law of the Heart

Listening to learn more, I pay attention to those,

Who put me in a jacket,

And issue instructions,

For how I should feel, prayer, talk, write, love.

When I all need is to put my heart first to you and leave my head behind.

“Hear the parable of the sower.”

Gospel of Matthew

Openings … Willing Servant?

Sometimes we want to retreat into ourselves,

Not for peace, but because we are not brave.

when asked to lead, we wither as if a plant starved of water,

shriveling in a bright sun, “shouting don’t chose me”.

Reach deep today for that love God shows that you can lead others.

“Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh
and lead the children of Israel out of Egypt?”

Book of Exodus

Openings … The Day’s Beginning

Sometimes the day starts early, and seems your enemies even earlier.

However, fear not for your day or those

Who would destroy your peace.

They cannot fight the force of love,

Or your trust in God.

Our help is in the name of the Lord.

Psalm 124
