Jesus reveals his mission and purpose to the Jews. Jesus Christ—God made man. What beautiful words they must have been to hear. Perhaps we can put ourselves there to imagine listening to them as he spoke them. He is here today with us in the other form of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit. Amen.

The mystery of the Trinity and God’s love for us is borne out in his act of sending his only son, to save mankind.
We can only imagine what rewards will await us in heaven, beauty and love beyond our comprehension.

The revelation to Joseph sets in motion the coming of Christ.
The lineage of Mary and the word of prophet speak clearly to the predictions in the Old Testament. Mary becomes the vessel carrying the promise of the New Covenant, Christ the Savior.
The Trinity is also revealed in this scripture, with the role of the Holy Spirit and Jesus exposed.
