Openings … Delight

Let me chose delight this day,

Instead of turmoil, distraction, conflict

may peace be my only friend,

so I may rest in you.

This day and evermore.

Holding On

Holding on when in turmoil seems to be impossible,

But in the darkness there is light,

There is safety,

And love.

Endure till it is revealed.

“For you darkness itself is not dark,
and night shines as the day.”

Psalm 139

Imagine a day without any advertising,

A day where no one parks their car on your lawn and empties their trash in your children’s sandbox.

24 hours devoid of anger and turmoil,

A day of complete silence, only enhanced by the sounds of nature.

When all acts are blessed, work is postponed and we are replete with gratitude

This day is Sunday. God’s gift to you.
