REFLECTION ON THE DAILY GOSPEL 10 OCTOBER 2011

God is here and now.

Waiting for signs from the prophets is a waste of time and dismisses the Word of God.

God Incarnate came, delivered the Word and there is no more to do that follow the Truth. All that will be said has been said. “It is finished”.

Gospel Lk 11:29-32

  1. I enjoyed your Technorati article, and tried to leave a comment, but it didn’t post. The more we learn through scientific discovery, the more the truth of the God of the Bible is confirmed. Yet we do not require scientific confirmation for our faith, which by definition is based on the unseen, spiritual realm. Scientific theories come and go, but God is the same, yesterday, today and forever, and His truth does not change. He transcends time; He is light, so by traveling at the speed of light, time stands still for Him, as it will for us when we are eternally united with Him. This quality of God as light may help to explain how He can be everywhere at once; How He can know everything past, present and future; How He can attend to all our prayers at once, etc., because the constraints of time do not apply to Him.
