Hope and Desire

When hope leaves the heart where it dwells,

And blood pumps desire through my veins, the trouble begins.

For each cell, renewed with both oxygen and requirements feeds the brain with this new need.

What started with hope for You and others becomes an impassioned desire; now bordering on infatuation.

It must be fulfilled, as hope gives way to an internal want,

Which, upon farther inspection,

Was unnecessary.
