Inside the Boxes

Inside the Boxes

The city stacks them up,

Safely tucked up in little boxes,

Neatly arranged to be close to transportation,

To take them to their next days toiling.

The lights are now on,

Suppers are eaten,

Talk of the day is exchanged,

And prayers are said, even if unspoken.

For another day will dawn soon; and its meaning becomes apparent.
