In Love
Never a choice,
Just a light in the dark which blinds all others.
Showing us what was there to us to see before,
Yet we remained motionless and unresponsive.
Cannot say why I ignored one,
And not others,
Aside from selfishness,
Or some other personal desire.
Now, however, it becomes obvious.
We cannot ration love,
For if we do, it is not love,
But something else. Of me.
Something I don’t like at all.
