REFLECTION ON THE FEAST OF CORPUS CHRISTI includes 3-line reflection

The Feast of Corpus Christi shows so much more than a reminder of His sacrifice for the benefit of our salvation. While this is obviously the critical aspect of His mission on earth, there is so much more here for us to contemplate and enrich our lives.

He takes the cup of redemption, through His sacrifice and in doing so provides us with an unlimited supply of grace for our own salvation. This is an invitational process that He makes clear in the Gospel today, when His followers are hungry and tired, He will let them rest and refresh them with their physical needs, through miraculous means if necessary. We can rely on Him.

However, now, the cup He offers us is one of Peace and Love, full to the brim with His love for us to celebrate any time we partake in the Eucharist, or just bask in His presence with the knowledge and wisdom of His being. Let us partake of his chalice willingly and as often as we can. It will enrich us in ways we cannot imagine and provides graces for our own eternal salvation.

Three line reflection

Take the Chalice of Peace and Love

Sip and savor each taste, moment and grace.

Fulfilling every imaginable desire with God’s presence.

REFLECTION ON THE READINGS 1 JUNE 2013

The search for wisdom can be a long one. We often feel that wisdom comes from either the very young who have not yet had their thoughts “polluted” by the ways of the world, or those older because they have endured some of the world and continued their faith journey until they discovered how to communicate with God along the way.

While we can seek wisdom, the knowledge of God, by praying to Him in the traditional form, and, if earnest, are rewarded with this grace. However, we often receive these graces as infused graces that are not “felt”, which means we have to rely on our personal faith to keep on this path.

To obtain true wisdom, we have to continue on a path of humility and being docile to the reception of the Holy Spirit. This means we have to be truly in a position of openness to His love and then we will receive in ways we could not imagine. Finding your interior prayer life is the key to this kingdom.

Today, take a few moments to reflect on how God is moving in your life. Find a quiet favorite space to talk to Him, in your own words, and begin a new dialog with Him.

REFLECTION ON THE VISITATION OF MARY TO ELIZABETH

The image of Mary and Elizabeth celebrating their pregnancies brings us what we want in our own lives. A flood of hope for the future. The joy of creation and the love of these mothers to be give us the hope we need for the future. Their faith and anticipation is really “what the world needs now”. As they hold each other in this most sacred of sacred moments, we can be the vessel that God wants us to be. Mary’s faith and obedience made her a chosen one to carry the child Jesus into our lives to save us. Jesus, after His sacrifice and mission wants us to hold Him inside us.

To have that same joy on the faces of Mary and Elizabeth as they shared the news the day of the Visitation. Feel Him with you right now. In each moment of the day, in each action, in each word and deed. Savor each breadth as you pass through this day.
